Story:
When Ueda had first started Chiroru (after Hideki left), he couldn’t do all the work by himself, so he decided he needed a persocon to help him. At the store, the salesperson tried to sell him all the newer models, but Ueda spotted Tome over in the corner with a big sale sign on her. Even though the salesperson told him she was old and wouldn’t last much longer Ueda wanted her anyway.
When he brought her home and turned her on he fell instantly in love. Over time they grew very close and eventually Ueda asked Tome to marry him. There was a big deal over the fact that a person was marrying a persocon but Ueda loved Tome and that was all that mattered to him.
Soon after they got married Tome started to forget things. Small things at first but then it got out of hand. Ueda brought her to the shop to get her fixed, but they said they’d have to replace her hard disk, therefore erasing her memory. Ueda didn’t want her to forget him so he decided to just let it be. But things just got worse until Tome couldn’t even remember Ueda.
One night they were walking home and Ueda was lost deep in thought and stepped out into the street in front of a car. Tome jumped out and pushed him out of the way, but she destroyed her own body. She was not supposed to be able to remember him at this point, and should not have known to save him, yet there was something left in her that made her want to save him.
Anime:In the anime they changed her name to Yumi, so it would have more of an effect on Yumi when she found out about her. Also the whole episode where Ueda talks about Tome is one the most touching scenes in the whole anime, and I suggest you watch it if you get the chance!
