Minoru and Yoshiyuki are working hard and Minoru gets e-mail from the same person who has been sending him pictures. Kotoko is investigating at Hideki’s house and is wondering why there is such a fast line. Something hits the door and Chii goes out to find a package with the most recent Empty City book, called “Looking for me”. Hideki goes over to Minoru’s house to see the latest picture and it’s a picture of Chii and the “Dark Chii” together. Turns out that the “databank” of all persocons is the one sending the pictures and is the same thing that Yuzuki tried to hack into. Hideki freaks out at Yoshiyuki because he keeps talking about Chii saying “that persocon”. Jima sees that the “program” is finally working and asks Dita if she ever has any doubts about this mission. She says that if there is a program that is harmful to persocons then she has no regrets. Jima explains how he is the databank that all persocons are connected to and Dita is his protector. He is not actually sure what the program is, if it’s dangerous, or why it’s starting but to the person who created persocons all human type persocons are like her children. Therefore she wants to make them happy, along with Chii. Dita asks if all the talk of Chii being dangerous is lies and Jima says that persocons happiness is not the same as all human’s happiness. Dita states firmly that “that girl” is dangerous and must be stopped. Hideki runs into Yumi and she thanks him and tells him to take good care of Chii. Shinbo comes by to have a talk with Hideki. He tells Hideki that he doesn’t mind that he is interested in a persocon, even after what happened with Shimizu. He was mad at her husband because he was ignoring his wife, be it with a persocon or a human. Shinbo takes Kotoko and Sumomo with him so Chii and Hideki can have a talk. Hideki doesn’t know what to say then he gives Chii a hug. Jima starts to go on overload but doesn’t want Dita to connect but she does anyway. She realizes that Chii is close and jumps off the building to find her. Jima follows after saying that he wants Chii to be happy. Hideki goes over to Hibiya’s room and she says that she’ll tell him everything. Hibiya takes him to her secret room and shows him the picture of her and Chii and says that Chii name used to be Elda and Hibiya and her husband created her. There was also another one named Freya (the picture of the persocon with all the wires coming out of her back). Hibiya’s husband made the persocons for her because they could not have children. He made Freya fist (who looks like Dark Chii). She loved someone but they didn’t know who. So that Freya wasn’t unhappy Hibiya had her husband make her a younger sister, who is Elda/Chii. Freya was a bit happier but she still loved someone and finally she couldn’t handle it anymore. The person she loved was Hibiya’s husband. Hibiya’s husband refused to delete Freya’s memories so she decided to fade away. All the people at the laboratory told them to get rid of Elda because the same system was in her and the same thing could happen. Hibiya’s husband didn’t want that, but he got sick so Hibiya changed Chii so that she was like she was when Hideki found her so that she could find her most important person, which is Hideki. Hibiya said that Chii is dangerous for all persocon users but it’s up to Hideki to decide. Chii is reading her storybook. In it Atashi has found the one she loves now she just wants to be loved back. As she is reading her reflection in the window is of Dark Chii/Freya reading. Hideki comes back and Chii gets up and Freya’s shadow follows. She tells Hideki that she loves him and asks if he loves her. Just before she can answer Fureya’s shadow disappears and Chii starts to glow and a beam shoot up into the sky. All the persocons hear “the voice” again and shut down.
