Yumi and Hideki are working and Hideki is trying to figure out the connection between Yumi and Ueda. Hideki goes home and Hibiya still isn’t back. The next day Chii and Hideki are walking to Chiroru and Chii sees two people holding hands. Hideki explains to her two people hold hands when they like each other. Chii reaches out to grab Hideki’s hand but they have reached Chiroru. They find Ueda spacing out and scare him, and then Chii goes to change. Hideki asks if Ueda is okay and when Chii comes back she’s wearing the wrong clothes. Chii comes out and Ueda tells her that those clothes are for a different person, but not before Yumi, who is standing outside, sees Chii. She runs off crying and Hideki goes to chase her. He catches her and she turns around cries into his shirt, asking if persocons are better than real women. She tells Hideki that Ueda made those clothes for her. Ueda says it’s his fault that she’s crying and he can’t let it go even though she said goodbye. At Hideki’s apartment Sumomo is scaring Kotoko. Hideki brings Yumi back to his apartment. Ueda says it hurts when the one you like the most says goodbye. Yumi explains how she was working at Chiroru and she started to like Ueda and she confessed and Ueda told her that he love her too, and had made those clothes especially for Yumi, but was wondering if it was okay because he was so much older and had already been married. Yumi wanted to know what kind of person his wife was and (back in the present) shows Hideki 2 video clips from the Internet. The first one is when Ueda got married to his persocon and the next one is at her funeral. In this one Ueda gets mad at all the reporters and tells them that his wife had a name: Yumi. Ueda tells Chii that Yumi doesn’t like him and he hurt her but Chii says that every day she was standing outside staring at the store, and would she do that if she didn’t care anymore. Ueda has Chii come with him and they head to Hideki’s apartment. Hideki tells Yumi that when Ueda married a persocon he was serious about his feelings toward her and that he’s sure Ueda was serious about his feelings toward Yumi also. Yumi tells him he’s just like an older brother…Hideki tells Yumi that he doesn’t think Ueda would do things like comparing Yumi with his ex-wife. Yumi asks Hideki if he would care if he was in that position, and Hideki said he would but he wouldn’t compare. Ueda and Chii walk in and Ueda tells Yumi that he loved her because of who she was. There are some things only a persocon an do and some things only a human can do. Chii stands up and takes off the outfit and hands it to Yumi, apologizing. Hideki gives Chii one of his shirts and then Yumi and Ueda walk off holding hands. Chii holds Hideki’s and asks if he is happy holding hands and something glows in her eye. Something flashes across Jima’s glasses and he sees that “it” has decided the only person for me. He says that he hope it’s a happy ending. Dita wakes up and they both stand.
