Finally a not-completely-filler episode! Let us rejoice! Hideki wakes up and hears Chitose (Hibiya or landlady) cleaning and decides to help her because she does so much for him. Hideki and Chii sweep, clean windows, pull weeds and take out trash while Sumomo makes a mess by throwing confetti everywhere. Some more cleaning scenes then Chitose tells Chii that she has a dress for her to try on. Chitose goes to find the dress and Chii tries to look at a picture that is face down but Chitose comes back. She takes the photo and holds it while Chii changes. The dress is super frilly and pink and Chitose tells Chii that it’s her dress. Meanwhile Hideki goes to check out a spare room upstairs. He has never been there and it’s full of wires. It turns itself on and Sumomo gets short-circuited. Hideki freaks out and starts running into things. Chii comes back in the frilly dress and Hideki freaks out again, and is confused when Chii says that the clothes are hers. Finally Chitose offers to help fix Sumomo. She hooks her up to her TV and starts typing really fast. Hideki sits there stunned while Chitose finds out what is wrong and fixes Sumomo. Hideki questions why Chitose is so good with persocons and she explains that she had a persocon-related job in the past but she quit. He also finds out that her husband also worked with persocons but he died. Chitose asks Hideki to eat in her room and after they leave she muses about how “those kids” will find Chii soon. Hideki sets a password for Sumomo and decides on Chobits. Chitose thinks about “those kids” and we see two people in black wearing sunglasses standing on top of a building. Chitose is in her laboratory (the room with wires) and has realized that “those kids” are already here.
