It’s summer but Hideki needs to study because his grades are so low. Then Shimizu-sensei invites him to the beach (odd…). He tells himself to study but ends up at the beach with pretty much the whole cast (how did Hideki, Chii, Shinbo, Sumomo, Shimizu, Minoru, Yuzuki, Hibiya and Yumi ALL get to be friends? That’s a bit odd…) Anyway they’re staying at Minoru’s beach house (rich little kid!). They all go to play in the water (and the cutest thing known to mankind happens, Sumomo in a bathing suit and inner tube swimming!! *dies of cuteness*) and Shimizu offers to give Hideki a “special” lesson that evening. After a fun filled day, Hideki heads to Shimizu’s room thinking perverted thoughts that evening. It was actually just a study session with Shinbo included. The next day they see dolphins, so to get closer they all head out on Minoru’s motor boat (since when did dolphins come near motor boats?). Hideki likes watching the dolphins splash, so Chii jumps in too. Hideki goes to save her (persocons aren’t that waterproof) but he can’t swim and Chii ends up saving HIM. Somehow she didn’t get any water in her system. So the fun filled vacation ends, and Hideki’s grade goes down back at school (from a D to an E. E? They have Es in Japan?!) A new ending theme comes with this episode! (Same video cept the rabbit is now pink). If you plan to see one episode of Chobits so far this I would advise this one. I mean it has Sumomo swimming!! *dies from cuteness again* (wish I could screen cap). And it’s nice to see how all the characters react to each other, which you don’t see in the manga.
