The episode starts with Hideki racing to find Chii. He goes into the room where the light was coming from and finds the peep show guy lying stunned on the floor, but no Chii. Meanwhile Chii is covered in a sheet and is jumping from lamppost to lamppost and stops on a clock in the middle of the street. All the people and persocons stare, and suddenly all the persocons in the area stop working, even Yuzuki. Hideki is back out searching the street without Sumomo’s help because she has shut down. She has the left the clock, but Hideki spots her as she is jumping on the telephone poles. She lands on a light, and suddenly collapses Hideki catches her right before she falls into the water. All the persocons start working again. Hideki falls asleep in the taxi on the way home and wakes up in his apartment. He gets Chii to start working again then explains to her about how she had a bad job, and decides to get her one himself. Yuzuki talks about hearing a familiar voice before she stopped working the night before. He finds a flyer for a bakery called Chirouru and gets her a job there. When the day is over Chii is talking to the manager, Ueda. She then asks if he will be alone if she leaves, and he says yes, although there used to be someone else that worked there. When she hugs him he says that she shouldn’t hug anyone but someone she likes. After Hideki picks her up, Chii tries to give him her pay, but he says she should keep it for herself. Then Chii asks if it is okay for her to hug Hideki, and he gets confused.
