Well, Chii is the persocon everyone wants to know about right?
At the beginning Chii was known as Elda and was made by Hibiya by her husband because they couldn’t have children. When Freya is about to dissapear from heartbreak, Elda offers to hold her memories and personality inside herself, because they are too precious to loose, and Elda had not yet found her own "person for her" and any memories she had, Freya has as well. So Elda absorbs Freya and looses her memories, but not before begging her parents to leave her somewhere far away, so she can find her one and only on her own. Which is why she was placed in a trash dump with her memories on a disk.
This is where Hideki comes in. He found Chii but dropped the disk with her memory. He takes her home and starts to teach her things, because she knows nothing. Soon Chii starts to fall in love with Hideki, even though she doesn’t really know what that means.
What can I say about Chii? She’s so CUTE! Actually she is a very nice persocon, and tries to be helpful in any way possible, like giving Hideki her paycheck so he can eat. It would be nice if she knew a bit more so more of her personality showed, but by the end of the story you know what kind of personality she has. She is actually quite simple. She just wants to be kind, helpful, and loving.
Unfortunately, Chii is not that lucky because everyone and their dog are trying to figure out who/what she is. No one ever said life was easy. But Chii loves Hideki, and will do anything for him, and in turn he cares deeply about her.
One thing that's special about Chii is the special power Hibiya's husband installed in her before she was put in the trash, which you can find out about in: "What are Chobits, REALLY?"
